Do I need to input exact values for my assets and debts?

No. Exact valuations of assets and debts will not be needed by your executor until your date of death. For organization purposes, ballpark values suffice; some users even leave the values blank.

Keeping accurate records of cost bases on your assets is super helpful to your executor. Trying to establish cost bases on assets that you may have held for years, perhaps traded over time, will be difficult and time consuming for your executor and the accountant.
